VISUAL MERCHANDISING LIVE PROJECT WITH SELFRIDGES 

During this module, we worked in groups that focused on investigating new digital communication approaches and visual merchandising strategies. The project allowed us to investigate the spirit of creativity that can be discovered by reaching out into the future, forecasting, influencing, and listening to the cultural zeitgeist.

 

Our final outcome for this module was ‘Transcendence’ 

 

Transcendence is a virtual safe space, offering an alternative from our dystopian world, where no one feels safe. We'll use extended reality to blur the lines between reality and virtual reality in an immersive, secure virtual environment. Transcendence will have soothing, interactive visuals, holograms, and animations in the store, which will rotate throughout the day to keep it interesting. For the truly immersive experience, there will be escape pods equipped with VR headsets. All of the graphics in the transcendence areas will be art that has been selected to evoke peace through its aesthetic appeal.

Consumers will leave with a sense of calm and a recollection associated with their purchases. The philosophy combines Ethical Technology's technical advances with the use of virtual reality and holograms to give us a look at the future of technology.
