TREND FORECASTING

During the Trends Forecasting module, we had to use field and desk analysis approaches in order to uncover shifts and dynamics within cultures that profoundly created new tribes.


Trend: Sustainability Conscious
Tribe: The UOA, Urban Organic Athleisure’s 

The Urban Organic Athleisure (UOA) trend's growth focuses on the mass market in the sub-sector apparel and has first progressed from Political, Economic, Sociological, Technological, Legal, and Environmental perspectives (PESTEL). Veganism, climate change, our carbon footprint, technology, sustainability, and poverty are all themes from my PESTEL research.

The UOA age group is divided into two generations. Generation Z and Generation Y, all age groups, desire optimistic mindsets, awareness, and complete fulfillment from brief bursts of gratification known as ‘Micro breaks.' Small periods of happiness (micro-breaks) are gained by the UOA in daily life, such as socializing during gym classes and becoming expressive with other trend factors. This tribe would embrace only cruelty-free materials and recyclable materials, as well as natural apparel and organic food sources. Since they are conscious of their carbon footprint, this pattern causes them to be very selective and unique.
